The Soroptimist Live Your Dream Award is open to all female undergraduates who are the sole provider for their families.
Awards go up to $16,000 depending on whether you win at the local, regional, or national level.
You’ll need to write two essays to apply: the first is a 300-word essay about your career goals. The second is a 750-word essay about how the scholarship will help you live your dreams.
Applications are accepted between August 1 and November 15 each year. You can sign up on the website to be notified when applications open for 2022.
2. MUD Makeup Scholarship
The MUD Makeup Scholarship offers five $2,500 scholarships twice a year, and it's for any student at a cosmetology or esthetics school that uses MUD makeup.
If you want to apply, you’ll need to make a YouTube video answering a few specific questions and upload three images of your best makeup work.
3. Create-A-Greeting Card $10,000 Scholarship Contest
This annual scholarship contest not only gives you the chance to win $10,000 to help pay for college, but it also gives you the chance to see your own artwork turn into a real greeting card!
To enter, all you have to do is send in an original photo, piece of art, or graphic that you think would make an amazing greeting card.
Submissions for the 15th annual contest closed on March 2, 2022. The contest is expected to open again sometime over the summer.

4. The Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship
If you’re working toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), you may be eligible for one of up to 20 annual scholarships from the National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA).
Applications for 2022 are expected to open up in May or June.
This scholarship is open to graduate students enrolled in certain programs and BSN undergraduate students who are dedicated to supporting the health of Hispanic communities. Applicants must also be interested in participating in NHHF Scholars alumni activities.
5. Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship
Are you a vegetarian or vegan? Every year, the Vegetarian Resource Group gives $20,000 to three high school students who don’t eat meat.
You’ve got to submit an essay covering one of several available questions to apply. The program offers 2 $5,000 awards and 1 $10,000 award. The deadline for this scholarship is usually in February each year.
6. Axon Optics ‘Migraine Story’ Scholarship
This scholarship is specifically for students who have had migraines.
All you’ve got to do to apply is share your story of dealing with migraines or light sensitivity. That story must take the form of either a 1-minute video or an original image like a photograph or drawing.
The scholarship is open to all current full-time students at an accredited college, and the award is $1,000. The deadline is on November 30 every year.
7. Tall Scholarship Program
Are you taller than most of the people around you?
If you’re under the age of 21 and a woman taller than 5’10” or a man taller than 6’2”, you’re eligible to apply for the Tall Scholarship Program!
Besides meeting the height and age requirements, you must also be a member of a Tall Clubs International (TCI) affiliate club (you can find a list of all eligible clubs here), and your club will have to nominate you.
TCI awards numerous scholarships each year, and you can win up to $1,000.
8. American Board of Funeral Service Education National Scholarship Program
If you’ve completed at least 1 semester of coursework focusing on funeral and mortuary sciences, you’re eligible for 1 of 6 annual scholarships from the American Board of Funeral Service Education.
Awards generally range from $1,500 to $2,500 per year. There are two deadlines: March 1 and September 1, and students can apply once each calendar year.
9. CME Beef Industry Scholarship
We’ve already covered scholarships for students who are practicing vegetarians or vegans. Well, this one is kind of the opposite.
The CME Beef Industry Scholarship awards 10 $1,500 scholarships every year to students who are planning to pursue a career in the beef industry.
Although you’ve got to want to pursue a career in beef, applicants can come from a pretty broad range of degree types. Fields of study accepted for the scholarship include communications, production, education, or research.
You’ll also need to write a 1-page letter of intent describing your career goals, and an essay of 750 words or less exploring an issue across the beef industry and proposed solutions to those problems.
10. The Horror Writers Association Scholarship
The Horror Writers Association (HWA) is a global charity dedicated to promoting the horror genre. Every year, the HWA offers 5 different scholarships to aspiring writers who are interested in pursuing a career in horror fiction.
The Horror Writers Association Scholarship is worth $2,500, and you don’t need to be a member of the HWA to apply for the scholarship. In fact, you don’t need to have written a million scary stories, either!
The scholarship panel judges entries based on your academic plan, the quality of your writing sample, your financial need, and your interests in the genre.
However, it’s important to note that this scholarship cannot be used for tuition. Instead, winners can spend it on expenses that will help support their writing careers, such as writing course fees and textbooks.
