Please read the following to learn more about our Privacy Notice.By using or accessing the Website or Service in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Notice, and you hereby consent that we will collect, use, and share your information in the following ways.

What does this Privacy Notice cover?

This Privacy Notice covers our treatment of personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") that we gather when you are accessing or using our Website or Service. This Privacy Notice does not cover the practices of companies we don’t own or control, or people that we don’t manage. We use this Personal Information to provide a meaningful, safe, efficient, and customized experience for visitors to our Website and users of our Service, as described in more detail below.

We use this Personal Information:

What information does Mos collect?

Information You Provide to Us

We receive and store any information you knowingly provide to us.

When you register on the Website. We invite you to register as a visitor to our Website. In order to register you must provide: first name, last name, email address and password.

When you use the Service. In order to use the Service, you must create an account by providing your first name, last name, email address and password to the Service. In order to use the full functionality of the Service you must provide financial aid Personal Information determined by you to the Service, such as your social security number, age, educational history, family and financial information. When you request customer support we may collect Personal Information such as your phone number, location, and emaii address.

When you share your third party account information with the Service. If you sign in to the Service through a third party site or service, such as Facebook, then some content or information, or both, in those accounts (“Third Party Account Information”) may be transmitted into your account with us if you authorize such transmissions. Also, certain information on your profile with Providers may be automatically transferred to your Service account if you give us permission to transfer this information.

What we do with this information: We use your contact information to communicate with you about our business and to provide the Service. For example, if you’ve given us your email address, we may send you promotional email offers about Mos or email you about your use of the Website. Also, we may receive a confirmation when you open an email from us. This confirmation helps us make our communications with you more interesting and improve our services. If you do not want to receive communications from us, please indicate your preference by opting out via the links provided in the emails or directly from your dashboard. We use your financial aid Personal Information only to provide the Service to you. We share your Personal Information with Providers chosen by you, if you enable this sharing.

Offline Information. As you might expect, we usually collect or receive information through our Website. But we also may collect information offline, and it’s important to us that we preserve the privacy of your personal information both online and off. For example, if you call us with a support question, we may ask for your location. There are other ways we could learn of personal information offline, but this Privacy Notice doesn’t try to predict all those methods. Information Collected Automatically

Unlike our Website, our Service does not collect any Personal Information about you automatically. The Service only collects Personal Information you provide.

What we do with this information: We may use this data to customize content for you that we think you might like, based on your usage patterns. We may also use it to improve the Website. For example, this data can tell us how often users use a particular feature of the Website, and we can use that knowledge to make the Website interesting to as many users as possible. Information Collected From Other Websites

Do Not Track Policy

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for the Website or send any personal information about yourself to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. Will Mos share any of the Personal Information it receives?

We do not sell or rent your Personal Information in personally identifiable form to anyone. We share your Personal Information with Providers of your choice, and with third parties described in this section. However, we share this Personal Information only to the extent necessary to assist us in providing the Service to you.

Vendors and Agents

Like most Internet sites, we use third parties to help ensure our Website and Service run smoothly. We disclose your information to these third-party companies so they can perform their specific functions for us. For example, we use a payment processing company to receive and process your credit card transactions for us. We also use cloud hosting provider AWS_ to provide the data storage and networking infrastructure necessary for the Service. Our vendors and agents do not have any right to use the Personal Information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us.

We use vendors to provide targeted online marketing to you. Mos’s third party vendors may recognize a unique tracking code used by your browser or application to enable you to receive customized content, or to enable you to use other technologies such as tags and scripts. The tracking code may reflect de- identified demographic or other data linked to data about your visit to our Website. When we employ other companies to perform functions of this nature, we only disclose the information that they need to perform their requested function. We do not authorize them to retain, share, store, or use personal information provided by us for any other purpose.

Business Transfers

We may choose to buy or sell assets from time to time. We may share anonymized customer information in connection with the evaluation of such transactions. We may transfer customer information if we enter into such transactions. Also, if we (or our assets) are acquired, or if we go out of business, enter bankruptcy, or go through some other change of control, Personal Information could be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by a third party.

To Protect Mos and Others

We reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information that we reasonably believe is necessary to comply with law or court order; enforce or apply the Terms of Use, this Privacy Notice and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Mos, our employees, our users, or others.

Is Personal Information about me secure?

Your Mos account is protected by a password or other authentication mechanism, such as two- factor authentication, for your privacy and security. If you access your Mos account via a third party site or service (such as Facebook), you may have additional or different sign-on protections via that third party site or service. You must prevent unauthorized access to your Service account and Personal Information by selecting and protecting your Mos password and/or other sign-on mechanisms appropriately. You also can limit access to your computer or device and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your Service account.

We endeavor to encrypt and otherwise protect the privacy of your account and other Personal Information we hold in our records, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee complete security. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.

What Personal Information can I access?

Through your Service account settings, you may access the following information you’ve provided to us:

  • your “User ID” and password
  • your email address
  • credit card information including billing address
  • your social security number
  • your financial aid information and
  • other information provided in your user profile

What choices do I have?

You can always opt not to disclose your email or password to us, but keep in mind that you will not be able to register to use the Mos Service. You can opt not to disclose your credit card information by purchasing a Mos plan.

You can limit the financial information you provide to the Service, but this may limit your ability to obtain college financial aid through our website.

You are able to update your name, email, password and credit card by accessing the “account settings” tab. When you update information, we may maintain a copy of the unrevised information in our records. To delete your account entirely, please use the “Delete My Account” link in the user dashboard or email us at support@mos.com. Some limited information may remain in our records after we delete your account, but this does not include any credit card information. If you have any questions about viewing, updating or deleting information we have on file about you, please check our FAQ page or contact us atsupport@mos.com.

Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents are entitled to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident and would like to request this information then please submit a written request to:support@mos.com.

Data Retention

Mos will retain your information as long as you maintain an active website user account or Service account with Mos. If you no longer want Mos to use your information to provide the Service to you, you may close your account. If you close your account then you no longer will be able to use the Service. To delete your account entirely, please use the “Delete My Account” link in the user dashboard or email us at support@mos.com.

You should not expect that all of your information will be completely removed from our databases in response to your request. Mos will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

Changes to this Policy

We are constantly trying to improve our Website and Service, so this Privacy Notice may need to change along with the Website. If we change the Privacy Notice then we will notify you here in this Privacy Notice. Your use of the Website or Service after we have modified this posting will constitute your acceptance of any changes. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Notice in effect at the time we use this information.
