Your privacy is our concern. MOS.COM is dedicated to ensuring the privacy of our customers and online visitors. As a provider of services for consumers and business, we believe that privacy and protection of one's personal information are fundamental human rights and that all individuals should be empowered to exercise their right to information self-determination.
At MOS.COM we hold our products, operations and our people to the highest standards of privacy and protection of personal data. We strive to exceed all legal and regulatory requirements respecting the privacy and protection of personal data, regardless of jurisdiction.
This document discloses our information handling practices for all our websites located at the mos.com domain, and is intended to provide you with a complete and accurate basis for making informed decisions when choosing to communicate with MOS.COM via our websites. All comments and inquiries regarding our privacy policy and the MOS.COM approach to privacy protection may be directed to our Main Office at pivacy@mos.com.
This document covers the following privacy issues:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When we collect personal information
MOS.COM does not collect personal information about website visitors and customers without their consent. In cases when such information is requested for us to provide a service, visitors are prompted to provide the minimum amount of information necessary. Typically, personal information is collected:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Use of Server Logs, Cookies and Web Bugs
Server logs:
Our servers automatically log information about visits to our websites in the normal course of establishing and maintaining web connections. Server logs record statistical information such as visitors' IP addresses, type of operating systems, time of visit, web pages requested, etc., and identify categories of visitors by items such as domains and browser types. These usage statistics are reported in the aggregate to our MOS.COM web and marketing department staff, and are used to improve our websites and to insure they provide the optimal web experience for visitors. Raw server logs are kept only as long as necessary for security purposes, and are purged on a regular basis. We do not link server log information to any other data in such a way as to identify individual visitors.
Cookies:
MOS.COM takes your concerns about cookies and privacy seriously.
Both Session and Persistent (with expiration) cookies permit us to generate aggregate information and statistics on how visitors interact with our websites. From this aggregate information on unique visits, we learn how we can best improve our websites and our visitors' experiences. Information yielded to us from cookies always remains anonymous, is never shared or associated with any personal information you may have supplied or made available elsewhere.
NOTE: Visiting our websites with cookies disabled will have no significant impact on your browsing experience, with one notable exception: when purchasing from MOS.COM sites.
Web Bugs and Web Beacons:
MOS.COM does not use, or permit to use, invisible web bugs or web beacons on our sites.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How is your personal information used?
Your personal information is used by MOS.COM staff only for the purpose stated at the time it is collected, e.g. to reply to your questions or to provide a requested service. It is accessed by MOS.COM employees only on a need-to-know basis. Your personal data is never used for secondary or unrelated purposes unless otherwise requested or explicitly agreed by you.
It is MOS.COM's policy never to share, trade, sell or otherwise disclose personal information to third parties without your informed consent or direction. Informed consent is sought:
Product delivery: Visitors have the opportunity to purchase MOS.COM products online or by emailing order forms to our offices. Customer and purchase information is maintained in a secure database in order to accommodate returns and questions about shipments, for the minimum time required by law.
If you wish to see and, afterward, correct any information we have stored about you, you may do so by sending an email to support@mos.com.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How long we keep your personal information
Most personal information we receive via our website is either not retained or is stored in aggregated (made anonymous) form for statistical record-keeping purposes.
Contact information provided by web visitors is kept as long as this information is needed to completely service the contact request, or until that individual requests that we delete that information. Mailing list information and email addresses are kept for only the period of time needed to facilitate the visitor's requests.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Links to third-party sites
Because MOS.COM wants your website experience to be as informational rich as possible, we may provide a number of links to third-party sites, such as news-sites and other information
resources. To the extent possible, we try to clearly distinguish external from internal hyperlinks, and to only provide links to third-party websites that have, at a minimum, a posted privacy policy. Nonetheless, we assume no responsibility for the information or practices of websites a user is able to access through ours, and strongly encourage all web visitors to review the privacy policies and statements of all externally-linked websites.
There is no third-party advertising on MOS.COM websites.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can I change or delete the information later?
As a matter of policy, MOS.COM collects and stores as little personal information on customers and visitors as possible. Each individual has the right of access to personal data they have submitted through MOS.COM websites. MOS.COM is committed to providing reasonable and practical access to individuals to allow them the opportunity to identify and correct any inaccuracies. When requested and where possible, MOS.COM will delete personal information from current operational systems. However, it should be noted that to avoid fraud and mischief, proof of identity may be required in order to fulfill some personal information access and deletion requests.
When personal information is retained, MOS.COM deploys its best reasonable efforts to keep an accurate record of the information once an individual has submitted and verified the data. MOS.COM does not assume responsibility for verifying the ongoing accuracy of the content of personal information unless that information is being used in a decision process that may affect the data subject in a material way. If MOS.COM is informed that any personal data collected through a website is no longer accurate, MOS.COM will make appropriate corrections based on the updated information provided by the client or visitor.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What security procedures are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under our control?
MOS.COM makes every effort to protect your personal information in transit by supporting Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology for online transactions. SSL encrypts your personal information to prevent its interception and decoding by any party other than our website.
MOS.COM has implemented high standards of technology and operational security in order to protect personal information under our control from any unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, loss or destruction. Our security practices include, for example, use of firewalls, strong encryption, and access controls.
All MOS.COM employees follow a company-wide security policy, which is reviewed on a regular basis. Only authorized MOS.COM personnel are provided access to security programs. All employees have agreed to ensure confidentiality of personal information that they may access when performing their work.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Changes to this website privacy policy
MOS.COM reserves the right to modify or amend this Statement at any time. We will review it, in particular, following changes in legislation or in jurisprudence. In order to keep visitors informed, MOS.COM will ensure that we notify users of changes to our Website Privacy Policy by identifying significant alterations for a period of not less than two weeks at this web page and identifying the effective date of this document.
